Hi everyone,

For so long....(I'm 30, so about that long) I have tried a million different "diet" plans and have always failed. I think we all know that this is more mental than physical. A year ago, I realized that I hated my life and where it was going. I was so terribly unhappy and became lost and empty. None of my friends or family could help, although they tried so desperately. They hated to see me so unhappy. I was at 374 lbs. 374 lbs! It's so embarrassing. I never imagined I would ever weigh that much.

So one day I started thinking....What if I went and moved to Florida with my dad and step mom for a year to change my life? (I'm from Maine) I felt in my heart that I needed to escape everything that was normal to me...take myself completely out of my comfort zone into a household that focuses their lives on being fit and healthy. It was a ballsy thing to do, but I did it. September 19th, I got into my car and drove to Florida. Yes, i drove from Maine to Florida. It was a long journey, but not as long as the journey I was about to take.

7 months later, I was 88 lbs lighter. 88 lbs in 7 months! The reason why I am posting in here is because I would like to promote the product that helped get me to where I am. It is an all natural health supplement that is truly truly amazing. I'm not sure how much weight you all need to lose, but if you are interested in a health supplement, this one is the best kind only because it is all natural with no stimulants at all and aboslutely no side effects. Now I am running my own business and making extra income selling a product that truly works and allows me to help others the way these have helped me.

I'm not done yet. I still have another 100 lbs to lose till I'm at my goal weight, but I know I can do it. All I gotta do is put my faith in God and these pills and I will be alright :)

Contact me for details on this product. You won't regret it! I can also send you my 7 month before and after photo as well. :)

Hi, I'm trying to do this healthily for right now and was wondering if anyone knew about calories. I try to work out everyday or at least 3-5 times a week for 40 minutes. In order to lose weight my calorie goal is 1300 a day. With the workouts I normally burn 300-400 calories. My question is in regards to food, do I eat only the 1300 calories or do I subtract my calories burned and then eat up to 1300.

For example, if I eat 1300 cal and burn 400 cal, am I able to eat 400 more calories and still lose weight?
1300-400 = 900

Or do I not consume the 400 calories I burned?

Hey everyone,

I'm still a bit lost here, but I think posting my stats should be the easiest part of this. :)

Age: 23
Height: 5'3"
Current Weight: 119
BMI: 21.1
Highest Weight: 136 (before I lost a lot last July)
Lowest Weight: you mean other than when I was 12, I assume ;) In that case: 114
Short term goal weight: 110
Long term goal weight: 99
Something about yourself and/or a picture of yourself:

Well, I'm a student which means that I don't live with my parents who watch what I eat or can force me to eat all those fatty, greasy things that made my mom look the way she does (she's clinically obese, by now). I've always wanted to lose weight because I was on the border to overweight for a long time (most of my school time - that sucks!) and then I "accidentally" lost a lot of weight (almost 20 pounds) when I took a job as a travelling reporter and had neither time nor money to buy real food. Plus, my job required me walking around cities all day long which gave me about 6 hours of exercising per day with a measly breakfast and maybe a sandwhich to keep me going. when I came back from that job I started running and looked very healthy for a while. But then... well, I guess you all know how the downward spiral goes.

Anyway, now my boyfriend (who's into reeeeaally skinny girls) told me he only finds me physically attractive when I'm skinny and while I'm his dream girl and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, I'm just not hot enough at the moment. Now, I'm facing the tough choice between dumping him and keeping lying to myself or between seeing the truth (namely that I look much fatter than my weight might make you think) and lose weight. So here I am.

Something about yourself and/or a picture of yourself: My swim team season has just ended, hence the massive weight gain that I've witnessed myself go through during the past four months. I was 113 at the end of August and fairly satisfied. Now my muscles are massive and I'm very dissatisfied. I want/need/desire utter satisfaction, and I know I'll get there soon enough.

My name is Emmi, it's nice to meet you all.
Lately, whenever I look in the mirror I don't like what I see. So, rather than get depressed I'd like to do my best to change that.

To get to the point where I can look in the mirror and like what I see~To be able to walk into a room and feel confident and be happy, that's what I hope to achieve through this. I want to try my best~and hopefully gain support/make friends with people who can relate to my situation. Who knows what it feels like to hate your body and need a change.

I'm happy to find a community so open and accepting =D

I was on a 1200 calorie a day diet, but have lessened that quite a bit.. i do pilates, and crunches and just found a thighmaster while at my mum's (hilarious but so awesome) and i jump-rope a lot. i go jogging/speedwalking a few times a week and play tennis on sundays with my lil sister when she's around and the weather is nice.

Looking for friends and support, from like-minded and similarly shaped girls!
